Guidelines for P.O. Boxes:

***Students living in on-campus housing will automatically be assigned a Post Office box.***
***If you move off campus and want to retain your mailbox, you must notify the Post Office immediately.***

  • Notify correspondents, businesses, and publishers of your proper mailing address either in writing or by phone. Check the address shown on your incoming mail for the correct address information. Notify the addressee immediately if any of the address information is incorrect.
  • Mailbox combinations can be obtained via the Oscar website. The path is Secured Access Login, Student Services, Student Records, View Post Office Box Information.
  • Students living in on-campus housing will automatically be assigned a Post Office box.
  • All other students must apply and pay a $30 non-refundable annual fee in order
to obtain a box. Please stop by the Georgia Tech Post Office to apply and pay
the required fee. Availability of boxes are limited, so applications are
accepted on a first come, first serve basis. You may also contact us at 404-894-4560 for information.
  • Mail will only be delivered to currently enrolled students. If you want your mail forwarded for a specific semester that you are not enrolled, you must do so via the Oscar website. Login and go to the Personal Information menu. This also applies to co-op students during their work semester. Students who graduate can have their mail forwarded for the period of one semester after graduation. This will allow ample time for the student to notify all corespondents that they have a new address. Some students may opt to use the box for one quarter after their graduation instead of forwarding their mail. This is permissible, however at the end of that following semester the box will no longer be available to the student. Please contact the Campus Post Office about the use of your mailbox after graduation.
  • Mail is not delivered on Holidays.

Guidelines for Package Pick-Up:

  • The Georgia Tech Post Office offers package delivery by the United States Postal Service,. United Parcel Service, Federal Express, Airborne, and DHL. There is no package delivery to the dormitories.
  • An e-mail message is the official notification that a student has a package. After receiving the e-mail notification, the student must come to the package pick-up window and present their student ID or another form of valid picture ID. Make sure you know your GT PO box number.
  • If you are expecting a package and have not received an email notification, come to the package pick-up window and we will check our incoming parcels. If a package is not picked up within seven days of the first notice, a second email notification will be sent out. Your package will be returned to sender if it is not claimed within seven days of the second notice.
