BuzzBags: Policies

Products and Services

  • ‘BuzzBags’, distributed by the Student Center, is your professional, convenient and cost effective method to communicate with the nearly 8000 students living on Georgia Tech’s campus.
  • Your full-color design will be printed on one side of a two sided, full-color, glossy, 4x6 postcard (you have the option of  purchasing both sides) and delivered, in poly ‘Buzz Bags’ to on campus residents.
  • Customer provided full-color design printed on one side of a 2-Sided, Full-Color, Glossy Post Card
  • 1 bag delivered per room/apartment
  • Small promotional items (i.e., logo pens, koozies, etc.) can also be distributed. Subject to approval.  No large or bulky items.
  • The number of items allotted per drop may vary. Orders will be taken on a fist come, first served basis.
  • Customers, with prior approval, may provide their own materials and will be charged a drop fee for stuffing/delivery only. Items which require a fold, such as menus, must be folded prior to delivery to the Student Center. NO black and white photo copies will be accepted.  No large or bulky items.  Maximum finished size of 7” wide and/or 9” tall . Special production may be accommodated with 30 days advance notice.
  • The Georgia Tech Student Center reserves the right to reject or accept any ad or
    promotional item.

Payment Policies

  • Full payment is required when the ad is submitted
  • Acceptable forms of payment – Visa, Mastercard, PeopleSoft Number & Doc Id, Check 
  • NO refunds will be given after the submission deadline
Acceptable Formats for Printing
  • Your full-color design will be printed on one side of a two sided, full-color, glossy, 4x6 postcard (you have the option of  purchasing both sides) and delivered, in poly ‘Buzz Bags’ to on campus residents.
  • Files are due by 12 Noon of the deadline date.
  • The preferred format for ads is Adobe PDF. This format will preserve quality and reduce file size;
  • Additionally, we will accept .jpeg, .gif, Photoshop and PowerPoint documents, however, please be advised that the quality of your image may suffer
  • All files should be sent at print size - 4.25”x6.25 (to include a 1/8" 'bleed' on all sides)
  • All Ads should be submitted electronically to buzzbags followed by [at] mail.gatech.edu
  • If design is to be done by Student Center Staff text must be submitted via email or word attachment to buzzbags followed by [at] mail.gatech.edu and must be received no later than the dates/times listed in the deadlines schedule.  Please note there is an additional fee for design services.
  • Please be sure you are embedding all fonts.  Make sure your settings say "Press Quality".
Pre-Printed Materials
  • Customer provided materials are subject to approval. 3500 cards/items are required per drop.  If more than one item is expected to be delivered per bag the items must be bound together prior to delivery.
  • Items may include, but are not limited to, preprinted full color post-cards, logo pens, koozies, Menus, coupons etc.
  • No black and white photocopies or low quality print items will be accepted.
  • No large or bulky items.
